Firemore Beach
Local highlightFiremore is a reddish-sand beach on the west shore of Loch Ewe near Poolewe, warmed just enough by the Gulf Stream to tempt summer bathers in. It’s off the single-track B8057 at Inverasdale, with parking above the shore. There’s wartime history in the water too: Loch Ewe was an assembly point for the Arctic convoys running supplies to Russia.
