If you don’t mind a steep scramble down, Coldbackie has a cracking stretch of white sand looking across the Kyle of Tongue. It’s reached from a layby on the A836; the descent is short but sharp, which tends to keep the beach quiet even in summer. Wear decent footwear for the climb back up.
