Hamble-le-Rice, usually just called Hamble, is a yachting village at the mouth of the Hamble River, packed with marinas, chandlers and pubs looking over the water. A little pink ferry carries foot passengers across the river to Warsash, and there’s good seafood on the quay. Hamble station is about 1km to the north.
