East Meon is a handsome village where the young Meon runs in a channel beside the street. Its Norman church, All Saints, stands against the down and holds a rare carved Tournai marble font; the medieval Court House nearby belonged to the bishops of Winchester. The village was a royal manor in Saxon times. Petersfield station is about 7km to the east.
