Dollar is a handsome Hillfoots town below the Ochils, best known as the way in to Dollar Glen and Castle Campbell — the old Campbell stronghold once grimly nicknamed Castle Gloom, perched above the wooded gorge. The town has a good gastropub in The Forager for afterwards.
