Blisland is built around a tree-shaded green, a rarity in Cornwall, on the western edge of Bodmin Moor. The Blisland Inn off the green was CAMRA’s National Pub of the Year in 2001 and still pours an ever-changing range of cask ales. Across the way stands the Norman church of St Protus and St Hyacinth, which John Betjeman admired.
