Volcanic cliffs and blowholes on Shetland.
A rampart of black volcanic cliffs, stacks and blowholes lines the coast at Eshaness, on Shetland’s Northmavine peninsula — some of the most photographed scenery in the isles. There’s a car park by Eshaness Lighthouse and easy clifftop walking north along the tops, past geos and spouting blowholes. Take real care near the edges when it’s windy.
