The Pepper Box Inn stands high on the greensand ridge at Fairbourne Heath, above Ulcombe, with wide views south over the Weald. Parts of it are said to reach back to the fifteenth century. A country dining pub — the garden is the place to be for the view. Harrietsham station is about 3km to the north.
