One of Hampshire’s great unspoilt pubs, the Harrow has been run by the same family since 1929 and barely changed: ale drawn straight from the cask, home-cooked food including its famous scotch eggs, flowers on scrubbed tables and no bar to speak of. It sits among the wooded hangers near Petersfield. Climb Shoulder of Mutton Hill through the Ashford Hangers reserve, then come back down for lunch.
