A big Munro above Loch Cluanie, usually climbed as a trio with the hills on either side of it

On the north side of Loch Cluanie, Sgurr nan Conbhairean is a broad 1,109m hill, more grass and scree than rock. A Munro tops 3,000 feet, and this one is normally walked with its neighbours Carn Ghluasaid and Sail Chaorainn in a single horseshoe from the old road along the loch. The going is straightforward in clear weather, though the rounded summit slopes need care with a compass if the cloud comes down. To the north the ground falls away into the wild country around Glen Affric.
