Leith Hall is a rambling laird’s house at Kennethmont, lived in by the Leith family for three centuries. The garden climbs in terraces with deep herbaceous borders and a rock garden, and there’s a curious circular Moon Gate by the old stables, plus two ponds and woodland trails on the wider estate. Grounds are open year-round, the house seasonally; it’s National Trust for Scotland with an admission charge. Insch station is about 9km east.
