Hambledon Vineyard, on the chalk near the village of Hambledon, is England’s oldest commercial vineyard: Sir Guy Salisbury-Jones planted the first vines here in 1952. It now makes traditional-method sparkling wine, and runs tours and tastings through the warmer months, so book ahead. Rowlands Castle station is about 10km to the south-east.
