GlenDronach makes a rich, sherry-cask Highland malt at Forgue, in a fold of farmland south-east of Huntly — one of the older working distilleries in the country. The old stone buildings and farm setting make it a rewarding one to visit, with tours and tastings run from the site; book ahead. Huntly station is about 10km away.
