Badachro Distillery is a small independent outfit on the shore of Loch Gairloch, making gin, vodka and rum, with its first single malt whisky now maturing. The founders run the tours themselves — a look round the still room and a led tasting of five spirits, with a G&T or a dram to go alongside the chat. Book ahead, and there’s a shop for a bottle to take away. It’s at Badachro off the B8056, next to the Badachro Inn.
