St Boniface Kirk stands on Papa Westray on one of the oldest Christian sites in Scotland, with worship traced here back well over a thousand years. The medieval kirk was restored in the 1990s, and there’s a Norse hogback grave stone in the churchyard. Reached by ferry or flight to Papa Westray, one of the smallest inhabited isles.
