A medieval motte-and-bailey castle once stood here — today it survives as earthworks in Pembrokeshire. It is the only motte-and-bailey castle the Albion Guide charts in the county. It is looked after by Cadw. Its Welsh name is Castell Cas-wis.
Nearby castles include Llawhaden Castle and Haverfordwest Castle. For arrivals by rail, Clarbeston Road Station is 2.9 km to the north.
