A ringwork castle once stood here — today it survives as earthworks in Cumbria. It is one of two ringwork castles the Albion Guide lists in the county. Brampton (Cumbria) Station is 2.5 km away to the south-west. For more of the same, Bastle at Upper Denton and Blenkinsopp Castle are close by.
