Coal was once loaded onto boats at Nolton Haven, a small sheltered cove on St Brides Bay where the coastal seams reached the shore. Today it’s a quiet slip of sand between low cliffs, with a car park, a pub and road access right down to the beach. A good option for a swim when the bigger bays up the coast are busy.
