A curve of sand at the far tip of the Llŷn, Aberdaron beach shelters below the old fishing village and its seafront church. This was the jumping-off point for medieval pilgrims crossing to Bardsey Island, who gathered here before the sea. Swimming, rock pools and a café or two behind the sand; the nearest station is a fair way off at Pwllheli, roughly 21km back along the coast.
