Newcastleton, or Copshaw Holm to locals, is a planned weaving village of long parallel streets laid out in the late 18th century down in quiet Liddesdale. These days it’s a walking and cycling base, with the forests of Newcastleton and neighbouring Kielder right on the doorstep. A good spot to disappear into the hills for a few days.
