Forsinard Flows sits at the heart of the Flow Country, the huge blanket bog of Caithness and Sutherland that became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2024 — the first peatland anywhere to be listed. From the RSPB visitor centre a boardwalk loops out across the peat to the Flows Lookout tower, giving you a way onto ground that would otherwise be impossible to cross. Best of all, the train stops right outside at Forsinard station.
