On the Georgian market square at Broughton-in-Furness, the Manor Arms is a long-running favourite for cask ale, a regular in CAMRA’s guide for its well-kept range. It’s a drinkers’ pub rather than a diner - good beer, a fire and little fuss. Foxfield station is a couple of miles south. A fine end to a day in the Duddon country.
