On the shore of Loch Sunart, the Strontian Hotel is the village inn at Strontian and a comfortable base for exploring Ardnamurchan and Morvern. The bar does food and local ales, and the loch views from the front are lovely. It’s a fair way out west whichever road you take, so it’s the kind of place you settle into for a night or two.
