Out at the tip of the Eye Peninsula east of Stornoway, this little clifftop lighthouse is one of the best land-based whale-watching spots in the Hebrides. Minke whales, dolphins and porpoises pass by through the summer — bring binoculars, settle in and give it time. The road out is the B895, and it’s a short walk to the headland from the parking.
