Croick Church is a plain Telford ‘Parliamentary’ kirk of 1827, standing at the head of Strathcarron west of Ardgay. Its fame is a sad one: during the Highland Clearances, families evicted from Glen Calvie sheltered in the churchyard and scratched their names and messages into the east window glass, where you can still read them today. Open daily, right at the very end of the road.
