West Sandwick is a broad white-sand beach on the west side of Yell, reached down through the dunes, with long views across to the north Mainland. Take the inter-island ferry over to Yell, then it’s an easy drive and a short walk. A fine place to stretch your legs, and you’ll often spot seals or otters offshore.
