A small waterside village north of Oban, Port Appin looks across to the low green island of Lismore. It’s known for the Pierhouse, a well-regarded seafood restaurant right on the water, and for the little ferry that crosses to Lismore - foot passengers and bikes only, no cars. Off the A828; Connel Ferry station is about 12km to the south.
