Robert McAlpine’s great curving viaduct of 1901 strides across the glen above Loch Shiel on 21 concrete arches. It’s world-famous now as the bridge the Hogwarts Express crosses, and crowds gather to watch the Jacobite steam train pass in summer, so check its times if that’s what you’re after. A short uphill walk from the car park reaches the viewpoints; Glenfinnan station is just over a kilometre away.
