Binnein Mor is the highest of the Mamores, the run of shapely hills between Glen Nevis and Kinlochleven, reaching 1,129m. It’s a Munro — a Scottish hill over 3,000 feet (914m) — and a proper mountain shape, with a narrow summit ridge of pale quartzite rock that drops away steeply on either side. Most walkers climb it from Kinlochleven to the south, often linking it with its neighbour Na Gruagaichean or the smaller Binnein Beag next door. It sits in the wider Ben Nevis and Glen Coe country, and the narrow top and steep flanks need a steady head and care in mist or winter.
