MacPenny’s is a four-acre woodland garden attached to a long-running nursery at Bransgore, on the edge of the New Forest. Paths wind through mature trees, ferns and shade-loving plants, and entry is free, with a donation box on the gate. Easy to combine with a look round the nursery. Hinton Admiral station is about 4km to the south-east.
