Old Pulteney is a maritime malt distillery in the Pulteneytown district of Wick, established in 1826 when the town was a booming herring port reachable mainly by sea. The whisky is often linked to the sea air it matures in, giving it a salty, coastal character. There’s a visitor centre on Huddart Street with tours and tastings, and Wick station is barely a kilometre away.
