St Serf’s stands at the heart of Dunning, its square tower dating from around 1200 and the body of the kirk from the 12th and 13th centuries. Inside, in Historic Environment Scotland’s care, is the Dupplin Cross — a tall, intricately carved Pictish cross brought in from a hillside nearby for shelter. The church is open and free. Gleneagles is the nearest station, about 10km south-west.
