A wide machair-backed beach on the west coast of North Uist, right beside the Balranald RSPB reserve. Good for a windswept walk and some birdwatching — corncrakes call from the reserve behind through the summer. Turn off the A865 at Hougharry, where there’s parking at Balranald.
