High up Donside at Strathdon, Candacraig is a walled garden restored around its Victorian glasshouse, with herbaceous borders and a real sense of the high country all about. It’s a peaceful place to potter for an hour well off the beaten track. Opening is seasonal, so it’s worth checking the dates before you make the trip up the glen.
