A remote Munro in the wild country west of Ben Alder, a long walk from anywhere and usually reached from Corrour

This Aonach Beag — not to be confused with the higher one near Ben Nevis — is a Munro, a Scottish hill over 3,000 feet (914m), of 1,116m out in the empty hills west of Ben Alder. It’s a rounded top on a high, grassy plateau shared with Beinn Eibhinn and Geal-charn, and there’s no quick way to reach any of them. Access is from Corrour station or the bothy country around Loch Ossian, which makes a big day of it, or an overnight trip. This is some of the remotest walking in Scotland, so go equipped for it.
